What is the most anyone gets out of a full tank?

Is there much of a difference in MPG between

704cc
899cc/903cc
Sporting/Fire engine 1108cc

Thanks (y)

According to my last fill-up:

105.9p litre
£20
150 Miles.

36.11mpg

Seems low, but that is ALL City driving and not tootling about in the slightest.

Or my cars broke? :p

899 43mpg
1108 41.5mpg

Both based on 10 miles there in light traffic then 10 miles back in almost none.

Is there much difference between SPI and MPI Seis? (Didn't they become MPI in 2001 for emissions, for the new tax bands?)

I'm more bothered about the clutch cable during heavy city driving than the fuel economy :)

sporting motorway runs >100miles, legal speeds, pushing it up hills for thermodynamic efficiency

up to 55mpg, less in winter, but tyre pressures and brake binding adjusted freq...

probably better at 60mph...

P.S. my Citroen AX was better, but slower

Not much in it SPI/MPI. Clutch -- don't worry about the cable, it's generally a symptom, rather than a cause -- will last much longer if you pop the box into neutral rather than keep it in gear with the clutch depressed.

Yeah I know, still, every time I put the clutch down in heavy traffic (and therefore clutch up/down lots) I feel a bit paranoid there will be a *DUNK* and the pedal on the floor ;)

Best ive ever had was 63mpg from petrol station in chester to petrol station in bournemouth via motorways. Its incredibly boring driving at 56mph though

a full tank in my cinq sporting usually gets me just under 300 miles with a mix of a bit of motorway and mostly london streets

on long journeys it's managed over 300 miles on a tank, sometimes i barely manage 250

Haha i know my engines are not listed, but its interesting seeing how the values compare with my two seicento's..

My 2.0 16v returns 35mpg around town, although as i dont live in a city its not always stop start conditions.

The 1.4 turbo returns a bit less at around 30mpg, with mixed driving ;)

I think the reason the 2.0 is so good is because everywhere i drove it the revs were around the 2k mark lol, its like a diesel as it didnt need much revving to get it going anywhere... But when it started hitting the 7.5k it got a tad thirsty... A good tank of thrashing would retun 60miles to £10 of fuel...
