General Cinquecento 1st gear trouble HELP!!!

Hi to all you guys & gals out there I've just spent a few minutes looking & reading about you people - Very Interestring!
BUT now I need help & advise:
I'm selling my trusted Cinquecento S 1994, I had a guy to view it today & he couldn't get it into 1st gear, subsiquently after swopping over half way through a test drive, I too could not & cann't now get it into 1st gear!
Why has this happened now? & can it be rectified quickly, there is no smoke, smell etc, otherwise in emaculate condition, I really need help ASAP:worship:

Try the adjusting the Clutch cable,

also could mean that the cable is about to snap

Mine suddenly did that.
The thick rubber washer at the clutch end of the cable has split, effectively moving the cable 5mm out of adjustment.

With it adjusted it was fine again, but I fitted a new clutch cable soon after anyway (genuine Fiat from shop4parts).

Thanks all, I did sell my cinq last night on ebay, but being an honest person I revised my discription & lowered my price too, So now have a weekend to find another fiat but Larger!!
