hi i am thinking of putting a civic type -r engine a 1 of my cinqs in the future i was just woundering if it would fit or has any 1 done it and if so how is it and was it hard

will handle like your fat aunt dancing at a wedding and you would never see its true power potential

it will fit in eventually but as you had trouble working out why your speedo lights wernt working then i think this is never going to happen. so dream on

Harsh but funny.:D

Is it not also funny that as we get older and more experienced, We start to sound more like our parents when giving advice?

as a young whip scallion i do have to say you do sound like a bunch of old farts but yes you guys are so right lol this is beyond a dream anyone in thier right mind wouldn't even try this not when you could get the same power from a punto turbo motor and it will handle better

old farts!! im only 21, even i know this is a pipe dream as a 1.2 8v costs a F**K load for me with 2 years no claims they adde a grand just for engine so no way you could get a civic engine in there!!!!

ok speaking from experence here 200bhp (standard type R out put) in a car that weights as much as a teaspoon with a tea bag on it is not healthy i had an uno turbo with 247bhp at the wheels and i sold it for the good of my health as i dont think my body would take to kindly to hitting a truck or a tree as it understeered wildly so going of the rule of thumb if you were to stick a type R motor in a cinq (typeR being alot fast throught the revs than uno turbo) you are going to suffer from understeer unless you do some major work to the suspension and fit nice fat tyres or then you are going to need to upgrade the brakes and of course cooling system oh and i would stick a FIA spec weld in role cage so when you do hit the tree you will be safe oh yes and bucket seats and 6 point harnesses to and then once you have done all that you ring the insureance company and they say yes we will insure you but give us both your legs and 3 fingures and now cos you have no legs you cant drive said car

if you read all that well done

sound systems weight to much and slow you down just buy an ipod and put the money you would have spent on the sound system into handling and POWER (in the voice of mr j clarkson)

haha, the only way it could ever handle is by mounting it further behind the front wheels and with full coilovers running atleast 205/215 profile tyres.
