MK1 'SX' bumpers are the same as 'S' bumpers
Mk1 and 2 sporting bumpers are just colour coded versions of the S bumpers with coloured strips added and an radiator air feed surround

mk2 SX bumpers are totatly different they have a thick raised out bumpstrip moulded into them and the rest of the bumper is colour coded

but with the main advantage that they dont have an unsighly towing eye showing like sprotings and S and mk1 SX models as they have the screw in type towing eye bolt kept with the spare wheel and a clip in cover on the bumper

Yeah, what he said is spot on. They are totally different.

On the insurance side of things, I'd advise the 899cc as a first car. Grp 1 insurance. An insurance company's wet dream for 17yr olds. You can keep that for a year or two before moving onto a Sporting. That's how I did it and saved myself a hell of a lot of money

:yeahthat: Definately.

Yeah the cinqs are a good car but id deFinately go for the sporting instead of the 899 as i nearly brought a sporting before my 899 but didnt due to sales person and my dad saids it was definateky quicker and was only £200 extra too insure and you get more of a spec for the money also around my area the cheap cinqs are the sportings not the 899's as i was gonna buy a cheap cinq for the engine for mine but it was a mk1 sporting which wasnt suitable

I know there is an SX in my nearest scrappy with colour coded bumpers.. its an M reg & its burgundy.. does that mean I could rip it off to use as a replacement on my Sporting ??

.....AND are the headlights the same cause I need a new driver side but after reading a few replys about a Sporting on here that people thought was only an SX.. I am unsure so need someone to clarify it for me !!!

Thank You, Please ! :D
