wish it could be now!!! but is most likely a year from now-ish, but if i manage to get the cash before then ill get one. have been wanting one from before i even started lessons, then i came to doing lessons and got an uno, but have decided to get used to drivin (use it as a 'get the bumps'n'scrapes out the way' car) and get a cinq.

have been browsing the threads on this section of FF and have rough ideas of what i want to do when i get one

Good plan! Managed to spin and crash my first car

..on separate occasions!

it is a fact that insurance companies dont touch "young" drivers on cars with various "GTI", "SPORT" "SPORTING" ectect

but is it true that they insure young (18/19yrs) on cinq. sportings ?

Hot Hatches as they are called will mean lots of insurance money.

Some companies dont like insuring young drivers on GT\Sport etc... models as they cant do it cheaply.

The Cinq Sporting isnt really that bad tbh...admittedly, it is considered a hot hatch i understand, so it will cost more than the equivalent Nova, but where else do you get the fun to money ratio from?

I was insured on my 1242cc at 19...just for an absolute extraction of a price!!
Its all dependant on driving experience and age etc....

I got insurance fine on my cinq at 17, but im not going to bring up costs, companies...coz it gets on every1's nerves including my own. :D

My first car was a pensioner blue fiesta. :D
Great fun, if you know your just going to scrap it, just thrash the hell out of it, Over rev it every gear, burn out all the tyres... (not with ppl arround obviously) Best fun is knowing that if you **** the car up and it doesnt matter as long as you dont damage anything else.

I had the same philosophy with my SX when I decided it was too costly to repair. Those 899cc engines take a hell of a lot of punishment without missing a beat I have to say. I used to leather mine something rotten.
