I've got a low mileage Spi 1108 Cinq sporting and am keen on the idea of making my own turbo kit probably based around a mega squirt ECU but am open to suggestions.
I want to keep the cost down although realise this wont be cheap. Can someone point me in the direction of previous posts relating to this as I'm struggling to find any directly related info.

Sorry to be a pain but am new to the Fiat seen.

Best place to start is the turbo FAQ, then an advanced search of the Cinq/Sei forums for turbo and J333EVO, then a general search for turbo.

But didn't we talk about this is the other place?

You need:

MPI head
Magasquirt (there's no real sense in going for an aftermarket ECU and staying SPI)
Bigger injectors (depends on which head you use)
decent afterrmarket exhaust (Janspeed, etc)
Cut down manifold to take the turbo
Blow off valve
Oil cooler with thermostatic take off
Intercooler (8v Integrale or Uno Turbo one should suit)
GT 15 turbo from an Astra 1.7 Deisel (recondition if necessary)
Upgraded fuel pump to suit the MPI set up
Upgraded brakes, wheels, suspension
Assorted bits of silicone pipe, tubing, etc.

A 1.4 16v transplant will be faster, much cheaper, easier to drive.

Sorry to hi jack the thread slightly but would this be a good substitute for the t15 turbo?

I always find it difficult to work out the orientation without the thing in my hands. But that one seems fine and -- good thing -- isn't of the wastegateless type. I think a few of the VAD cars used IHI turbos and there are a few cars running them (dunno which turbo, though).

If it's water cooled or ball bearing, that would be a further advantage.

Looks like the Mk1 Uno Turbo used a different variety of the RHB4.
