Technical cinq problems

Hi,

I have a few problems with my cinq typical. just when the mots due and i decide to sell it.

My front (possibly back aswell) wheel is knocking. Mostly when i go round corners left. But if i go over bumps it's even worse. Anyone got any ideas?

Top mount delamination at the front, damper bush problems at the rear, would be my guess. Of course the rear noise could be a can of beer rolling about.

Top mount is a half hour job, and not a lot of money for the part. The bushes at the rear should be available for sweetie money and again aout half an hour a side tops.

To confim diagnosis, put your hand on the damper body and get someone to gentle move the car body up and down. The clunk shold be felt before the damper compresses.

what exactly is top mount delamination I have a similar problem on my sei.

I had a mate look at it today he's said the back wheels are fine but the front drivers side wheel bearing has gone.

my clutch replacement wasn't so easy either. The plastic bit that it hooks into is broke too....

what exactly is top mount delamination I have a similar problem on my sei.

The strut top mount is a bearing surrounded by a rubber bush inside a metal housing. The rubber and metal can seperate so that the mount moves around too much and can cause knocking.
