General Cinq or Sei Sporting?

The newest cinq will be just about 12 years old

The newest sei will be just about 6 years old

Bear that in mind when looking at either (especially cinq) that it is a 'x' year old car and you should go in there with an open mind, they do get problems

To be honest i would be very suprised if you found either cento without a single problem however minute or trivial it is

During a short period of time I had a privilege to drive and repair both CCS and Sei MPI exchangingly. As much as Sei was a bit more comfy to repair (engine bay subjectively more tidy), and quieter, and slightly less fuel hungry, I felt and still do better behind Cinqs drivewheel. In my opinion, Sei MPI is technologically slightly superior, but they lost something in the spirit.

You also asked: are there any unmolested CCSs still out there? In Holland there are many, all Cinqs, CCS or not, I meet on the road are driven by older ladies. So many I feel stupid myself. I know this does not mean they are less molested, but they are not getting crap beaten out of them for sure.

(y)Absolutely. The thing is, I set myself very stringent targets when buying a car. Basically so I can't back out if the right one comes along! I have a 2yr old Multipla and even that has a couple of parking dents and the odd mini scuff on it.

I set myself the target when buying the Multi a year ago of getting a less than two year old Eleganza, in a dark colour, with the 17's and bluetooth for less than £10,000. Naturally I knew this was unlikely but when one turned up in Slough from the main dealers for £9995, at just a year old with 7500 miles on it, there wasn't much I could do except buy it!

On another note, I was pleased to see that the Sei ran right into 2003. I forgot that! Are there any 2004 about? Also did the Cinq run into 'S' plate or not?

I have also noticed that early Panda Active's are getting dangerously close to the price of late Sei Sportings. I've driven a few of them and they were superb value for money when they were new and I think have the same engine as the Cento's, the 1108. Another option for me there. (Still fancy a Cento though......):D

Sei ran into 2004 but they are very very thin on the ground

Cinqs also ran into S plate but they too are very very thin on the ground

Panda active engine will be the same engine thats in the sei MPI

He forgot to add you can also get R reg Seis ;) Again, not that common.

Looking for a decent Cinq can take quite a while. It took me about 2 months to find something that was half decent that hadn't already sold. That was 4 years ago.

Ive drove both the cinq and a sei and well in my sig you can see which i chose.

ive had it three years and before that my dad since new and never a major break down. after 177000 my headgasket has finally started to fade but its staggering.

i love the sei, bit more girly but a bit more up to date,
the cinq is more manly and gives you the retro feel.

depends on how you feel about your cars tbh,
