my new cinq, whilst it is superior to my old one bodily, interior etc...doesnt feel as fast..probably due to being tootered around the town....34k genjuine miles....doesnt have as good brakes...cos i spent a small fortune on my old uns brakes.....but more worryingly, doesnt feel nearly so planted...a hard feeling to describe, but it feels 'floaty' over bumps and rolls from the back end thru corners...turn in is ok, but its almost a feeling of roll oversteer, tho it never quite comes to that....could it just need springs/shocks......are there bushes at the back that can allow rear wheel steer when they are shot.....

..any advice would be great cheers..

Prob dampers / springs, but always worth a squint at all the rubber mounts and bushes for good measure. Dont forget tyre types, pressures etc tho...

When my rear bushes were on the way out the back end would wiggle in fast corners.

Park the car on the flat and try and wiggle the rear wheels. Or jack up the back and poke it abit.

it was a mishapen rear tyre..this is the third time this has happened to me with a cinq......??..just unluck or have others had their tyres go bulgy or 50p shaped...

got a new tyre and the wee thump noise is gone, but the car is still less than confidence inspiring in the bends..grr.....thinking lowered springs are next on agenda.....
