Technical Check Message on Blaupunkt radio.

Hi all,

I have installed a second hand Blaupunkt radio/cd player in my Fiat Punto. I have the radio code but the message "CHECK" appears in the small window and I cannot get past it. Is there a simple way to disable the radio to communicate with the car so i can get around this message?
