This is a bit of a ramble, but I've got a bit of a predicament regarding the locks installed on my Bravo... I just want to confirm my ideas before I start splashing out.

I've got a (broken) blue remote key and a red key. Unfortunately I don't seem to have the sticker with the 4-digit alarm code on it. So, the key fits in the door and the car opens. It would appear that the bootlid has been replaced at some point. As such, the bootlid has a different lock and will not open with either key.

I'm about to replace both doors... I'm hoping to also get the corresponding keys and alarm receiver to match. Hopefully this will mean I have a new, working remote key which fits both door locks. My old red key will still do whatever it's supposed to... Right? I'll be able to use the new lock barrels with whichever handles I choose (or not if I go for Marea rears)... This leaves me with a dodgy boot lock still though. My only thought is trying to get the lock barrel and matching key from a scrapyard and carrying two keys with me, which isn't a problem. If I decide to delock the doors, I'll be able to use the remote key on a day-to-day basis, and the boot key for access if I ever need to.

Does the above all sound good, or is there an easier way?

Cheers!

Scrap that, haha...

I'll use my existing lock barrels (to match my ignition barrel) and put my existing key blade in the new remote key. So I get the old locks in the new doors with a new remote... And then the new boot key. That way it's only two keys...

Aaahhh...
