I wanted to change them for laser blue bulbs but has anyone else found this virtually impossible or is there a trick to this?

Ignore the directions to turn it the way it says in the book too, they actually unscrew the opposite way!

Ah great cheers, now does anyone know whats the correct bulbs that i require for the bright blue LED ones? (if that makes sense)

Are you trying to replace the smaller, lower lights? These are the DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) and the bulbs are a special type that you have to buy from specific places since they're hard to come by.

You won't be able to fit LED ones either as they will display a 'bulb out' message on your dash.

For the DRL units you will need 7443 (w21/5w) fitment bulbs. It's all in the book, that should be your first point of reference for anything like this.

no they are not 501's they are a twin filament bulb , i have changed all my bulbs at the front except the side lights i have looked on the net but no one makes them yet if you do find some let me know (y)

PIAA make some, I've got them in mine as have a few other people on here, they make a huge difference;

I have no idea of any shop that still sells them though, PIAA seem to have removed them from their shop. I'm sure there will be some available somewhere online though.

Yes thats what im after as i want white lights rather than yellowy ones cos they clash with my extreme blue headlights

i had the manual out i was just told by 2 different places that the ones i mentioned fitted them and the last guy said he'd never even heard of the ones that it says in the manual

I bought a pair of the PIAA DRL bulbs off Ebay all the way from Japan - arrived safe and sound within a week (y)

Its a shame there not a blue colour................
and as for fitting them there a bugger, you need to wrap some masking tape around your hand or the plastic liner really digs in when try to turn the bulbholder.

PIAA have a ever so slight blue tinge, not too blue to be classed as a chav though ;) :D

These type of large capless 21/5 watt bulbs are used by lots of Japanese manufactures.
They do red,yellow,clear but no blue tint. I did lacquer mine with a blue tint, they looked great for a few weeks until it burned off (n)

Any more blue than the PIAA ones and you'll probably get pulled when you have your main headlights on as when the DRLs are dimmed for dipped beam, they go a very blue colour! You really don't want them anymore blue than they are, it would be more trouble than it's worth.

EDIT: They're fairly blue when you look at them directly;

But they dim quite a bit with the main lights on (These are now an ice white colour);

Why anyone would want blueish lights is beyond me. The one Lloyd has got are absolutely fine and any bluer would just be silly.
