hi all . i have a 1997 1.1 sporting cinquecento and have been told the ecu is cattle trucked . can i just change the ecu or do i have to chage the code box and key aswell thanks a lot lads and lassis
ye have disconted cleaned and reconcted . fisrt thing i did after i found the fult . do you know wich pins on the ecu are for the spark and wot the values are for them
pin 1, (white and green wire) is for coil pack 1, which handles number 1 and 4
pin 19, (light blue and red) is for coil pack 2, which handles number 2 and 3.
I don't know what values they're meant to give if you poke the ECU. But i guess if you unplug the ECU and check the resistance of both pins - any signifficant difference would show a wiring / coil fault. If they're the same, it's fair to assume ignition driver in the ECU has expired.
dont know wot i did but it worked . i took the big concter bock off the code unit and turned it over then disconcted the small one and turned t over once more . them reconcted it and it started . have i some how schoked the ecu or somthng . dont thnk t was the contons had d cheked them three or four times
