Hi
I have a marea 1.6 saloon and I have been told that my battery is borderline and I need to change it.
Could some one tell me how I get the strap of the battery to change it.
At the same time after reading your report on the k&N air filter I thought I would try one out, do I just undo the screws on the air filter box and replace like for like
I know this is easy stuff, but we all have to start somewhere
thanks Graham

to remove the battery you need to remove both battery cables using an 8mm spanner, then remove the strap by removing the 13mm nut at the left hand side of the battery. you will need a socket on an extansion bar to reach down to the nut, once removed the strap will lift off at that side.

if you buy a k&n replacement panel filter it will be a like for like direct replacement, however if you buy an "induction kit" you remove the whole airbox by lowering it through the wheel arch once you remove the plastic wheel arch liner. the induction kit will then need to be attached to the air intake pipe.

very clear thank you

Just needed to clarify so I didn't do anything stupid

Thanks again
Graham
