Traffic Chaos
Commuters to Glasgow city centre this morning are experiecing more than usual serious traffic delays on Kingston Bridge due thousands of young men wearing green and white football tops waiting in line to jump off the bridge. Strathclyde Police claim to have the situation under control and have relocated more than half of them to the Erskine Bridge where several thousand more are patiently waiting their turn to launch themselves into the River Clyde.
Aircraft Diverted
A plane carrying Celtic football team and officials from Slovakia to Glasgow Airport last night was requested by the team's manager to land at Lourdes in France. The pilot indicated the unusual request had something to do with the officials desperate plea for a magnanimous miracle.
Champions Loss
Celtic chairman Brian Quinn announced last night the financial implications of not qualifying for the Champions League this season could be catastrophic, but on a brighter note said the financial loss could be offset by releasing a video of their last two competitive games, to go on sale to residents on the south side of Glasgow.
Dinner Date
Celtic Supporters Association spokesman announced this morning to re-schedule their planned end of season Dinner Dance to 20th August 2005.
Nip in the Air
Japanese super star Shunsuke Nakamura is reported to be on a flight to Glasgow and has contacted his legal advisers with regard to examining the small print of his contract to explore the clarification of the ''Champions League Football'' clause in his deal, and examine the possibility of cancelling his contract.
