Hi, I was just fitting some nice red and black seat covers when I seem to have broke the middle rear seat belt. Its locked and I cant get any slack. I removed the plastic guard at the top of the seat that the belt runs through and the button tab in the belt has gone right down to the winder, this is stopping the winder from unlocking. I think.

How do I get into the seat, Ive seen inverted zips but I cant seem to undo them. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks
Ste..

dont strip it down just yet! make sure the rear seat is securely located/locked in the hinges by slamming it back a few times.

Do you mean slamming it into the side seat lock bits at each side of the car. If so I can't because the belt tightens the more upright it goes. I could do this if I undo the belt from the chasis. Should I do this?

Im I correct in presuming the seat belt lock if the seats aren't clicked in? I think this is what you were implying.

Thanks T, I really need help on this one

The seat belt must be at the exact correct angle or it will not extend, often getting someone to thump on the back of the seat while you maintain a steady pressure on the belt pulling it out works.

Oky I'll try this tomorrow morning, I'll get the wife to thump it (she can vent the frustration on the seat rather than me lol)

I'll post tomorrow thanks.

Oky that never worked.
If I buy a star alan key and undo the bolt that ancors the seat belt to the chasis then slam the seat back upright hard, I should be able to give the winder enough that it releases the catch (safty lock) and then i'll be abel to pull it all out.
Is that plan technically sound?
Thanks
Ste..

Job done,,,
They look good (for now), they were more frustrating to fit than the cupra front splitter lol.
Dont buy seat covers, especially universal ones..
