Technical Centre console, heating light illumination

Hey everyone,

Question. Are the centre console, heather controls meant to light up when the lights are on? One would think that is the case but our ones do not.

Could someone confirm please.

yes they should come on when you have the lights activated. In the Panda and KA there are 2 small lightbulbs behind the covers. Look for a youtube video how to remove the plastics to get to them.

Nice little job, quick to do. It was more difficult to source the bulbs than the rest.

Tips:
- Turn all dials to 0 or one end as and reassemble carefully in the same position to match their function.
- Caution pulling the trim out, can hurt your fingers, use plastic tools.
- And careful with the metal spring retainers dropping behind the dash.

Worst bit is trying not to damage the plastic surround as you pull it off! (and remembering to turn all the dials to the left first! so they re-engage when re-fitting!).
