I've recently broken my last key for the car, could i just purchased a full lockset, ecu and immobiliser, to replace the old one, the haynes manual says i cannot change the ecu (dont know if i have to change this anyway), any help thanks

Do you still have the original blade? Even if its snapped off the body of the key a locksmith will be able to make a new blade from it and with put your original immobiliser chip inside or copy the chip to the new key.

The key is made up of the blade, the imobiliser chip and if you have it central locking.

If you dont have a blade to take to a locksmith i would buy a set of barrels with a working key the put your original immobiliser chip inside or copy the chip to the new key.

The immobliser unit and ECU are paired, you cant mix and match second hand parts.

If you dont have the master key, you cant program new keys to the system.

Cant you just cut new key to the old lock and move the transponder to the cut key?

If you lost the key part, but still got the transponder, you could get the ignitionbarrel and keys form another and transplant the transponder to "new" key.

If all is lost, you need the stuff in your post, not sure about the reader on the lock, but it should be connected to the immobilizer so it comes with it? ECU and immobilizer are paired.

Getting keys coded for the car from fiat might be more expensive than scrappy parts....? I did read somewhere that you dont even get the code card in UK (code to bypass immobilizer with accelerator pedal presses).
