A while back the central locking stopped working, the fob makes the indicators flash and the central locking lights in the lower middle of the dash lights up then flashes to indicate locked and armed, the key will only lock and unlock the drivers door, nothing else, I've taken off the drivers door card but there appears to be nothing amiss, as there is no means to lock internally like transits have, I've had to disconnect the cables connecting the outside door handles.

I have an OBD2 reader, but will it show a problem or is it just engine faults.

TIA

Kev

Flashing as normal or quickly?
Is it a van or motorhome?

Hi Andy, They seem to be flashing at the normal rate, same for the dash tell tale.

I've tried everything, I'll have to go to the dealer if I can't find a solution.

Usually a failure to lock is a door open or faulty door switch but the indicators flash faster than normal if that is the case. As yours is normal it sounds like the control unit is not functioning correctly

Sliding door lock connectors can pose a prob, if I've a load of mail sacks on they push against door and the contacts open and unlock all the doors, if had to shim the body side one out to make a proper connection, part of the issue was the door lock catch had worn and not holding the door tight to body, (was unlocking on bumps and right handlers) they popped another one on and it's better, worth checking poss replacing both inner & outer if worn or missing

I've had a look at the wiring loom and it all seems OK, checked fuses with meter, again OK, Side door is making contact, I've even tried getting someone to push against it to eliminate that problem.

Hope it isn't the control unit, but wouldn't that work off the door lock anyway?
