Not been driving long so apologies for my lack of knowledge.

When those little ****ers steal cd player faces from your car, what benefit does the eventual buyer get from buying a cd player face? is it not useless? or will it save them money when they eventually get a cd player themselves? or sell it to someone who is gong to fit a cd player in their car?

Very confused:s and have been for a long time lol.

Would really appreciate someone to enlighten me on this matter,

well i no this for as a sure thing ,if they steal ya face of ya cd player means the thief must have a bac for 1 so by stealing ya face with his bac means he got his cd player,,,,all i can say is next time take it of buddy ,,dont let the scum get it easy,,,

They probably already stole the main unit from elsewhere.....

Maybe they sell them on Ebay to people who have "Lost" theirs!!!

Who knows what runs through the mind of thieves......

I had a car broken into a few years ago.... all they stole was an empty folder and a roll of Sticky Tape......

can go 2 ways.
they may plan to come back for the other bit :(
or they take the faceplate in the hope they will get/have a back end to fit.

my old non turbo cinq got broken into but they couldnt get the kenwood mask head unit out. they did take the plastic surround from it though.
probably planning to come back for it.

bugger as kenwood dont seem to make the surround as a spare part now :(

ok thanks alot lads! oh one more thing, can someone buy a back for a cd player legally? ie from a shop?
1 more question lol : does the face need to be the same make as the back?

I always thought the faces were specific to the headunit  ie one kenwood face wouldnt fit another kenwood face of the same model...

Its worth a try in a shop you never know they may keep spares or have faulty backs but faces work etc.

I would imagine though it will be a new cd player you will have to buy, but i must ask, if the cd unit was face off, why was it still in your car???

Moved to ICE

There is a site on the net that sells faces seperately but I think they do this so that folks that have lost or damaged theirs can still use the other part and not need a whole new system, my face off has came out my pocket before so I'm glad you can get them.
