CD Changer problem?

Hi all,
Just bought a CD Changer for my Brava 1.4.
Got a Grundig MCD6 and put it in the boot, ran the cable as suggested, plugged it in, then turned it all on and ot the message: CD CHECK on the head unit.
1.The CD's are all in the right way round.
2. The unit is plugged in right.
3. Other messages are relevant. (e.g. the MAGAZINE message comes up when I eject and CD comes up when I unplug it.)

It appears that the discs are not being taken into the unit and read, could this be a problem with the head unit or the changer, or am I doing something really stupid?

Any ideas from anyone who had a similar problem would be helpful.

Cheers (Dave)

Hi dave, when i bought my car it already had the cd changer in it. It too is Grundig. I found the problem i was having was that the cd's were in the wrong way. I know you have already said that there in the right way, but do u know on the grundig changers they go in upside down, as to the sony ones which u put with the label upward. On this one it goes downover. Hope this helps.

Hi Emma,
Tried CD's both ways round. Settled on the instructions on the Grundig Magazine, Label down.
Still won't take the CD's into the machine and read them, although it starts to.
Radio and tape work fine so am suspecting the Changer itself.

Must be. I dont use mine since i got my new hu in, its not compatible with my head unit. but i dont really need it since my new hu is mp3. Was it a new cd changer u bought.
