Has anyone else had the issue of Cavis hose sweating brake fluid? I’m using Dot4 synthetic fluid.

I have seen it on the old rubber and cotton string type hose from reservoir to master cylinders, but not on modern Cavis "plastic" hose.
In the past it was the old brake fluid before any Dot classsification.:)

My Cavis hose sweats a little brake fluid.

It was new in 2022, from Ricambio. I’ve been keeping an eye on it, it doesn’t seem to have done anything other than sweat a little. Not loosing any integrity. But I should change it at some point, I presume the ‘recipe’ has changed since it was specified as the correct hose to run from resovoir to master cylinder.

The same hose is holding fuel nicely, with no sweating or smell.

I’ve ordered some different hose to replace the Cavis. Not that fussed about originality
