My job this Spring is to replace the brake hose that runs from the reservoir. The hose I have at present 'sweats' and removes paint, but more importantly seems to make the braking increasingly spongy.

Through a bit of research, I have been recommended Tygon pipe.

Firstly, has anyone else used this pipe, or is there something better?
Secondly, what size hose do I need? I want to say 7mm, but is this correct?

Any help gratefully received.

Hi,
Tygon is a brand name for hose and covers a wide range of formulations. Not all are brake fluid resistant. Hard to get in short lengths too.
7mm sounds about right. I recommend this:
