Without being funny mate, you only have a 6 point limit until you have had your liscence 2 years.

The roads are as dangerous as hell cos of all the snow on the ground and you were doing 47 in a 30, I hate ranting when I don't know all the details but it seems your one of those people who put MY insurance up. UNBELIEVABLE in these weather conditions.

As for the insurance company I would ring them asap, tell them about your points and also let them know about your mods if you havn't already.

Slow down though eh? 17mph over the limit in snow....just not worth it:bang:

to be fair, its easy to look down at your speedo to find yourself a good 10mph over the limit, especially if its quiet. have you told them yet?

If you manage to do that, I am soooo glad that I dont share the roads with you. If you cannot notice that you are accelerating, please hand in your licence, you are a danger to others

so you have never been accidently over the speed limit? im not saying im a hardcore speeder, just that you occasionaly loose slight concentration.

In my experience it definitely pays to stay focussed and concentrating when driving....:p

Well actually, no, I have never accidently ;) strayed over the limit. I have a skill known as throttle control, I can hold it steady for long periods of time, and maintain concentration. Its kind of a neccessity when you live where I do (y)

Lots of assumptions here about the number of points. The OP doesn't say if he has been given a fixed penalty. If he has that will be 3 points. If it goes to court, 47 in a 30 gets you 5 points or, depending on other factors possibly 6.

one of my mates got caught doin the same, 47 in a 30, and he got 6 points and a 250 quid fine. He had passed a week before, so banned!

Don't think he was, had his licence revoked ;)

There's a suttle difference meaning that he can be back on the road as soon as he passes again. Ban mean's he's off the road for a set period of time (y)
