Re: Untitled

just to confirm what was said before, the standard inverters do create speaker hum and can cause minor distortions on the screen, a seperate ground from your case seems to solve it though as I discovered after eating through 3 cmos batteries.

Re: Untitled

Unless they are unshielded :)

The noise that is present in the power cable is also present in the car chassis itself, whereever you put an RCA means its near the chassis.

Noise in audio systems is 95% poor grounding and 4.9% bad equipment.

Re: Untitled

Sorry Tom, i have to disagree with your 0.1% ;)

I have a set of £3 (5 meter) RCA cables...just so you can gauge how cheap they actually are, they are alot thinner than my remote/amp cable...lol

I got them when i bought my MP3 sound card, just for testing as i was looking at getting a decent set, but needed to save a bit more cash. They have been absolutly fine. (Just lucky i guess)

Oh and everything is down the passengers side of the car, Power, remote, RCA's, video, USB, etc.. (basically because i was lazy...lol)

Re: Untitled

Crap cables = broken cables, dodgey cables etc..

Not cheap cable. Cheap cable works just as well as expensive cable.
