I am sure my carb is icing up.
Car starts fine goes well then starts to slow, eventually it will stop.
Sit and wait a few minutes, starts fine, and often will go fine from there on.
Sometimes it will do it again.
In my book classic carb icing symptoms.
The hot/cold air valve has been removed so only fresh/cool/cold air goes in to the carb.
Usually these valves stop working, and stay stuck in the cool position, only allowing warm/hot air to go in.
I have a spare air cleaner here which has a non working valve in it.
I wonder what forum members have done to "fix this issue", apart from leaving it on the "hot air in setting."
Oops, forget it, I searched for the answer, found I had the answer on this forum many times.
Now I have to fettle something.
