Hi all,

Does anyone know if you can choose the optional extras from new, once you have bought the car. In other words can you upgrade the sound system to the 280w version, or add the cold climate pack on after you have recieved the car???

Just interested in upgrading my sound system to that of the 280w 8 speaker version, i've heard its class.

Cheers

Hi Mick
As far as I am aware the optional extras from new are fitted at the factory, the bog standard Stilo has been sat in a storage depot for god knows how long.
After the car has been delivered, it is up to the dealer who will no doubt
Charge you a lot more for your bits, worth a try though.
Good luck

From what you are reading in this forum, you will trust any dealer add anything to your car that is originally fitted to the factory?
I wouldn't do this if i were you. No wait. I have almost done it by asking a rear spoiler and after they told me that the window needs to be cut (or something) i backed up.
So think twice if you want something like this. [8D]

Except for the audio, it sucks. Do you have a 3.door? Then you never get 8 speaker, no matter before or after. And the speakers are identical, only they are amplified bij a pair of Philips 10-15 Watt IC´s, und a sub-standard sub.

For half the money you get at least double the quality with some brand speakers...

Either at Fiat dealers or specialists it is possible to get parctically anything done to your car. It just comes down to cost (as fittingmany things once the car is buolt is trickier and therefore more costly) and to whether you trust people to bugger around with your car in any big way.

Get little stuff done, get cosmetic and trim stuff done but probably best advised to keep away from anything big or tricky.

Thanks for you input guys. As andreas and cliff mentioned, I probably won't be entrusting it to the dealership I bought the car from. I am currently waiting for them to resolve a paint work problem that I reported to them a week after I bought the car, which was about 6 months ago. Heres hoping they get it sorted sharpish.

Anyway, I'll keep you informed of any upgrades I may have and how easy they were acheived

Cheers Guys
