Moriarty the "Billy no mates" bids you all farewell and good luck!
Lol, until next time as they say - I seem to be sensing some deja vu :p

You could have loads of mates on here, if only attitudes changed - you did yourself no favours when you first joined the forum! Also, threatening to leave every time, then keep returning

It'll be sad to see you go away though Moriarty. The more Multi drivers who post her the better in my opinion - I hope you tell the other lot to come over here as often as you tell us to go over there ;)
Well said that man (y)

God, you must really dislike me...let me try and defend myself in the interest of, if not mutual disagreement, constructive critiscism and the moving forward of this forum.!

Nope, how can I dislike someone I dont even know add to that I'm not a hateful person anyway!,It's your attitude towards this forum I dislike. It's not your(or my)forum, however i'm happy to be involved in it & the posts that do not interest me I dont read...I dont call the meaningless just because i'm not interested.

Fiats generally are ok cars...I said and I still say its the management that ruin Fiat. There customer service above dealer level is appalling.

No...you said 'dont buy a Fiat'...unfortunally after going through all your posts(a rather long winded task of mainly multipla.com advertising)it seems this like many other of your posts have been removed! Also Fiat customer care is no better or worse than anyone elses, because you had a bad experience with them doesn't mean we all have.I recently witnessed Fiat write off £6000 just to keep a customer happy even though it was not Fiats fault!

As you have been in the industry for so long you must understand and accept that this goes on surely, or, am I the only one who has trouble with dealers? Sadly, I think not as these forums unfortunatley are littered with problems from all makes and models.

Firstly some people complain about unrealistic problems, but yes sometimes genuine cases are overlooked as with ANY large business, think how many customers Fiat have!

What I did say and I still feel it holds true, is that certain postings are unfortunately merely everyday chit chat that are not relevant, furthermore, alot of people post replies trying to help, I admit, but as they do not have the same type of vehicle they cannot always give truly relevant views that reflect the queries of the post.

It's a forum! a community if you like even...if you dont like the 'chit chat' posts then dont read them,I actually find alot of them very amusing.I also think its good to see alot of the younger people here making friends & meeting up with a common link in mind,Fiats! Ok maybe some replies are 'stating the obvious' or 'yeah I have that problem aswell' but so what, alot of the time the obvious is the fault also we all have to learn wether a beginner or a DET there is always something here to pick up & take into the workshop...thats why I am here, you can never know it all.If on the other hand I can help I will try just like everyone else here does.

I expect you will possibly take umbridge at this but, no malice is intended, it was you that made the sarcy comment against me. Not I against you.

Actually you did, again post deleted, however you did give us all the goodbyes....only to return, therefore my 'sarcy' comment towards you.Fine come back & be a part of the forum, just leave out the 'multipla.com' adverts as they are annoying.I myself & many others here have redirected people to the 'multipla.com' site if we know the answer they are seeking is there aswell as other Fiat (or other) related sites.
And no I dont take 'umbridge/malice' at what you say, they are words thats all.I'm a grown man so I like to think I can overlook them.

Finally, if we were all to practice what you and I preach on these forums,ie, be friendly, helpful, topical, technical and above all polite and supportive this forum could become so much more useful to EVERYONE not just multipla owners.

I don't (or hope I dont appear to) preach,I leave that to the church
I am here for information(as already stated)and hopefully help out a few folk as I feel this is fair as others have helped me out.

hi,
we bought a multipla about a month ago and its great. ive got a 13month old and a 2 month old so needed something practical. boot is fine for double buggy and car seats work great. i have my 13month old behind passanger seat and my auto base on middle seat. means i am able to sit in back with them if needed, in last car the car seats took up most of back seat so was like having a 4 seater car. Also has function to switch off passanger air bag so may be posible to put car seat in front. hope this helps.:)

here's what honest john thought of the multipla :)
Fiat Multipla
Tue, 17 Oct 2000
Even Fiat make no bones about it with a sign on the back window that reads, "Wait until you see the front". The Fiat Multipla is the weirdest looking new car on the road today.

But that hasn't stopped it becoming one of the most fashionable cars to be seen in. It's very good to drive. And the interior is amazingly (if not brilliantly) practical. No other car of anything like its size can seat six in comfort with room for their luggage or their large dog behind them.

The cab is 'walk-through' (or shuffle across) with no console, gear lever or handbrake in the way to impede progress from side to side. The front seats can't be removed, but the centre one can be replaced by a factory fitted 18 litre refrigerator. All the rear seats can be removed, just like those in a Renault Espace, and replaced further forward if desired to give more luggage capacity at the expense of legroom. The photo shows just how much room is available in the back with the seats removed, though headroom is insufficient for most people sitting in a secured wheelchair.

The dashboard is an astonishing sight and looks like something out of 'Star Wars'. One young boy passenger likened the multi-direction ventilator to a person's head, with eyes and ears. But it all works very well, including the stubby, dashboard-mounted gearlever. The non height-adjustable seat and height-adjustable steering wheel give a commanding driving position and the double lens mirrors give an excellent view of the kerb, making reverse-parking a doddle. The optional rear parking sensors aren't really necessary.

Out on the, road most drivers are surprised at how much fun they can have (which explains the car's many awards by younger motoring journalists). The steering of the petrol engined version is well weighted and accurate and the wide-track chassis provides copious levels of grip. But the petrol version is a bit short geared and becomes both noisy and thirsty above 80mph. With the diesel, you sacrifice some of the handling poise for a longer legged, more relaxed cruise and far better fuel economy.

Is it for you? There is no doubt that the quality of the interior trim is way below that of the Vauxhall Zafira, so I wouldn't think of the Multipla as such a good long-term proposition. But that ignores the fun factor and the sheer brio of the Multipla. The solid and practical minded will undoubtedly go for the Zafira. But the young at heart will cheerfully take a gamble on the Multipla.

Personally cant be arsed with reviews that the reviewer only drives the car a few times or even a week, asking owners who have driven a car long term is the best way to know what a car is really like.
