Hi all,

Can someone please help me here.
Reading this section on the Forum recently I stumbled across a link for a Poilsher on Fleabay................
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=230325917565

As I have a frozen shoulder, I thought that buying one of these would be a great help in keeping the cars polished, and keeping me from pain...

Looked great when I took it out of the box, but I have no idea what the polishing pads are for, what the differences are or anything.:confused::confused::eek:
Can any of you kind people shed some light on what the different pads are for and how they are used ?? (y)
Cheers

thats rotary unless u have experience then you need a Dual Action or DA you want either this kestral DAS-6 http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polishing-machines/kestrel-das-6-dual-action-polisher/cat_71.html or Megs G220 http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polishing-machines/meguiars-g220-dual-action-polishing-machine/cat_70.html most people will say the Kes DAS-6 i have the G220 though, the DAS-6 is lighter so would probably suit you better.

you need a guide as well to use one read DaveKG's guide on Da'ing http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=63859

Thanks for the reply Ninja,

Thought I was being clever ...... :( - does this mean that I have wasted my money then, and I should now spend £200 on a DA Polisher? :bang:

You dont need a DA, you just have to be more careful with a rotary as it has the ability to burn through paint easier. You will need to buy some proper polish and personally i would get different pads. Also you should only really use a DA/rotary on your car once a year maximum otherwise you will take away all the clearcoat.
