I've had this wallet-affecting problem for years and the great thing is that at this moment when there is a worldwide problem, I don't want to receive any more packages from anywhere and I probably can't buy anything anyway.:D

So that's focused me on doing what I can with what I've got. My most immediate problem is that old Murf has started jumping out of first gear...badly. I'm sure it's nothing to do with the fact that someone else has been driving him of late;). When I rebuilt the box a year ago I was aware that first gear was pretty badly worn, but having bought a set of gears for another box only a year before that I was loathe to splash out...."ha'p'orth of tar" and all that.:bang:

I've been told to cease my endless meanderings for work which has the silver lining that will have the time to work on yet another spare box which is sitting around, demanding to be tried out.

Has anyone else got plans for work on their car at this strange time which they might otherwise not have been able to do ?

you need to follow the advice given and "Self Isolate"

I think tinkering on a classic car is the perfect way to self isolate. You will need something to keep you sane and occupied. I have to rebuild my Giardiniera engine and I am having a new head shipped from italy. I have been assured it will take more that 72 hours to get here so can't carry anything unwanted.
I will be teaching the family how to bed in valves etc weather they want to know or not.
