Airbag failure check handbook
All connections underseat fine plugged original radio in same
Googled it loads saying car battery going
I've charged it 100% still same
Would I need a new one then can the car tell ?

there's a possibility that it's still the battery

AS A TEST;

remove YOUR battery,
install a good working one from another car.. (DO NOT start engine..!!)

turn ignition to MAR, wait for all the self-test lights to do their stuff, - is the airbag fault still there..??

TBH - best bet is to plug in a proper fault reader and see what the stored fault is..

NOT always low voltage detected..

I've plugged laptop in with full fiatecuscan
On there's no fault codes logged
No lights on dash
Just on info screen for about 20 secs

Just tried multi meter and says 12.96v
But charged it full today

Does it have to be a fiat
Know my father got spare good battery but is a focus petrol ??

round terminals.. and 12 volts

nothing else is crucial..as you are NOT cranking the engine.. just powering the vehicles electronics.

However it may well be an airbag stored fault it just that - stored..
and will have to be cleared by a plug-in device,

so a garage, or MultiECUScan..,

where is the car based?,
Charlie - Oxford

yes MES is the later evolution of FES,
so get access to that, and you'll get a more accurate diagnosis of why the light / message is there,
should say low voltage,
component failure/ etc, without a £50 Diagnostics bill..
Charlie

I'll download now and try
