General Can't find the changer cable

Does anyone know where it should be?

I have taken a pic of the left rear speaker below:

The car is a 1998 S reg 1.6, so i'm assuming its a mark 1? But i couldn't locate the changer cable in that area. Could it be a previous owner has removed it?

I think the Mk1 did not include a CD-changer cable unless the changer was 'factory' fitted.

Mk2 with exception of 80sx all came with the cable pre-installed.

I did too - I'm sure it was only the Mk1's that came with the cable as standard . . . Look under the carpets in the boot space (including the side bits) - it could be cable tied up with all the other wires - look for a chunky black one.

Yes thats what i read somewhere too. I have only checked near the speakers at the moment. Do you think it could be under the rear seat? or somewhere else in the boot?

I will check again tomorrow and find out.

Yup mk1 has cable mk2 doesnt! So boo tells me!
