500 Can’t change time on my 500

Hi

Just joined as last resort to find out how to change the time on my new 500. The dealership is over 80 miles away and I have emailed but had no response.

I have pressed the menu button on the dash and used the arrows to scroll through the options but “set time” does not appear.

Any ideas what I should do?

Hi Sue, welcome to the forum

How old is your 500, and does it have the analogue dash (with proper dials) or the TFT dash with numbers and stuff?

Certain options will only appear when stationary, but I'd hope you're not trying to do this while on the move

Have you tried the settings menu bin the radio?
I know at least on a family's 500l the time is set via the radio and not on the dashboard

Possibly not these days; sometimes all you get is either a CD or a link to a website.

However, you can download an electronic copy of the correct manual for your car directly from Fiat, here - all you need to do is type in your registration number.

Hi I can't seem to upload photos today, but here's a tip you'll need that isn't anywhere, on the end of the petrol cap(the bit that goes into the hole/filler neck) there's a little loop, on the reverse of the petrol filler flap there's a little hook, this allows you to suspend the filler cap with key in such it does not scratch the body work or dangle about breaking the cord?

You change the date and time with a settings button on the radio on the latest model. Am not at home so can't nip out and look at my car but it is there somewhere!

Can't help re time but can now show you pick of fuel cap hook

Is rhe radio the 5" display version? On ours, the clock setting is accessed by pressing the little gearwheel button, but I can't remember the sequence after that. I'll check it later.

Just tried it on ours (65 plate Lounge, 5" radio display, no Sat Nav). The infotainment unit between the heater vents has a Settings button to the top right (looks like two gearwheels). Pressing this displays the Settings screen. The Clock/Date settings are the bottom item on the screen.
Hope this helps, depends on your infotainment system.
