cancheck error msg help

hi guys,i recently bought a punto mk2 1.2.the blaupunkt radio/cd player was not working at all so i got the stereo out and discovered the last owner hadnt wired it up.i wired it myself but now i get the msg on the screen saying CANCHECK.does any1 know what this means and can it be fixed,many thanks alan

It means there is an issue with it communicating with the canbus system I believe. Have you wired it up correctly now including the canbus feed

i think i have my friend.there was a black plug and a white plug that fitted on one side and the antenna on the other.any ideas?
