I'm currently upgrading all the lighting for my car (Punto Evo GP 2011). So far, i've got new Headlight bulbs, sidelights, DRL, Boot Light, and the glove box light. (I don't like the yellowish light the standards give.) All has gone to plan, until i started with the bloody number plate bulbs. So far, i've been through 6 pairs of supposedly "CANBUS Error Free" bulbs, and every single set has errored and flickered. I know a bit about the CANBUS system, and how it works, and understand that the issue is down to the LED's drawing more voltage than what the system can provide? (I think?) and apparently the way to resolve this, is to fit resistors.. I've seen a few on eBay, but i have no idea what "wattage" they need to be, or if they even need anything specific like that.

Logically, I think a resistor will work.. but i have not got the foggiest of ideas what i'm looking for.

Could someone be a gem and give any info about this? or even a link?

Cheers,
Scott.
