Can there be a hole in my exhuast system...?

ey ppl.. sometimes my car dont pull every good.. and sometimes it does.. can there be a hole in my exhuast system? also iv put a sports back box in my car and you cannot hear much of the back box.. can there be a possiblity of a hole in my exhaust system?

if there was a hole you would know about it plain and simple, it will make a horrible farty blowy noise (i know... my manifold is still stuck tight )

re the car not running right sometimes, it could be a whole host of things, when was it last serviced firstly?

this is what u do, start the car, let it run a a few minutes, get underneath it, take a tissue, run the tissue around the exhaust, because the tissue is so weak and light, it will move at the just slightest blow. concentrate on all the joins and the manifold. if there is one, some gun gum should sort that right out and as for the performance, as andy said, could be anything. try some redex. filled the tank up to the rim and put half a bottle redex in. and give it a little ragging should sort it i recon

rather than put redex in (you may as well be putting fairy liquid in) i suggest you get hold of some Forte Advanced Gas Treatment. Usually available on ebay...

a service is usually my first port of call...
check you have the correct level of oil though. wouldn't be the first time i've seen a garage overfill one..
