Technical Can the back seats lift up?

Prepping the panda for a full detail tomorrow.

Does the rear bench seat lift up? If so, how?

Been looking for ages and can't figure it out. I'm sure a load of missing pounds are under it

It doesn't I'm afraid. Only the vertical part moves by folding forwards

It's quite easy to unbolt the rear seat to lift it out.

wrightyy that would be why I couldn't do it then thanks for that.
Wee Smurf awesome do you know how many screws / bolts hold it in place and where they are? I couldn't find anything in the manual or on here. Thanks

There is two just above each rear footwell (one per side)

Lift up the boot carpet, you will be able to see two more under the carpet/below the vertical back rest.
The seat base should now lift out.

To remove the backrest section fold the seats forwards and remove the caphead (M6 I think) and locking plate thing located in the middle of the backrest.

Then remove the four (two per side) in the corners of the boot

thats one of my main gripes with my '06 4x4, a flat loadspace would be very handy and am sure it would not have been too difficult to design folding seat base from new, :-(

possibly, but if that was the case Fiat would surely have installed rear head restraints!!

You could probably replace the bolts with thumbscrews. Easy to remove without tools.
