Hello. Glad to have found this Forum. Would anyone be able to advise me as to the sort of cost I am looking at for a new clutch for my '07 Panda Extravaganza. Just a general guide would be really helpful so that when I get a quote I'll know it's in the right sort of area. Thanks so much.

What makes you think you need a clutch?

Is it petrol 1.2? the below figures very rough and for petrol 1.2.

Cheap clutch kit - £40
Decent Clutch Kit £70

Take to a garage and have them do it. £300 ish

Depends on labour rates.
Dealers tend to be very expensive, so worth avoiding.

I would reckon a decent garage could do it in three hours or so as it's not too difficult, so shouldn't charge more than £200 labour.

The 3 piece clutch kit shouldn't cost more than around £70 to £80 for a good quality Luk kit, less if National or Transmech branded.

Add around £15 for new gearbox oil too.

I think the Extravaganza model might cost more than the Eleganza.........


Anyway, perhaps you could supply more information for us before you go any further:


1. How many miles has the car done?


2. How long have you owned it?


3. Is this the manual Eleganza or the Dualogic/automatic model?


4. What are the symptoms that make you believe the clutch is faulty? Clutch slips when driving? The car squeals occasionally?


5. What is your approximate location so folks on here can advise a decent mechanic?
