Hi, I am Fairly new to Fiat Forum, This is my first post!!

I was wondering if anyone could help me

I have got a MK2 2001 Fiat Punto 1.2 8v with Electric Windows

BUT hasn't got a revometer :(

Can i install a Dial Instrument/Cluster from a Sporting (that has a revometer and oil temp etc) onto my punto and wil it have wires behind it to plug into the new Dial Cluster??

or Do i have to rewire some cables

Thanks Much Appreciated for help

On the mk1, you just replace the instrument cluster with one from a higher model, and tap into one of the ECU wires to provide the signal. Of course, swapping the odometer is easy in a mk1 since it is mechanical. On the mk2, even if it is possible, you have to get an instrument cluster with a lower odometer reading. Once fitted, you have to get Fiat to add the miles on to match your genuine mileage. They will not remove miles for you, so an instrument cluster with higher mileage than your car is no good.

I bought a set from Egay that has rev counter/temp gauge etc. The breakers asked me my cars milage and then sent me a set with a few more miles on them than the car.
Fitted them, worked first time with no hassle at all :)
