Fiat Punto1.2 mk2 8v.
Can anyone identify this part that a mechanic took off the engine block. I think it is a part of the cooling system that connects to the front of the engine block.I am asking, as I am in Portugal at the moment.

The pipe is a coolant pipe that goes across the front of the engine which is common for rotting out on the FIRE engine & in your hand looks like core plugs which go on the block.
