HI, this is my first post, took me a while to navigate but managed to find my way around :)

I have a lovely blue 2004 fiat Palio 1.2 and recently had the head gasket changed however after a few weeks i found it still to have a oil leak??

After some inspection i noticed the leak seems to be coming from the camshaft seal. I was just wondering if changing the camshaft seal would effect the timing.

is it just a matter of replacing the seal or would i need to redo the motor timing.

Thanks again :)

Hi Kurt, and welcome to FF, :)

I have a leaky camshaft seal on my FIRE too,
just behind the upper pulley.

I asked in a thread concerning changing it.., as I was unsure of the arrangement of fitting the drive pulley / sprocket to the camshaft.:chin:

I even bought the seal - just not had time to do the job..,
