Hi all
I'm calling upon all my fellow Fiat owners for help!!
Further to my earlier post regarding my ICE install,I need someone locally who can FINALLY install my sub and amp PROPERLY!!!
Basically I had a friend installed the sub and amp,but he ran them from the existing wiring which is the wrong way to do it.He's tried to run a dedicated cable from the battery with a view to including an inline fuse,as advised by you good fellows to my post today, but has too many dificulties.
I need to know if there is anyone on the forum who lives locally(I'm in Waltham Cross just a bit up from Enfield)who fancies earning a bit of cash to install my ice.I have the sub(it's already boxed and a 2ch 240 x 2 amp).It just needs the right wiring kit to be attached with an inline fuse for safety.Local ICE shop busy til well into New Year.
If there is anyone who thinks they can help asap, please let me know.I'd really appreciate it..

Thanks all & apologies for the long post.
Regards
Peter

i was down at waltham abbey just last week - i could have popped in and helped :(

sorry mate can't help, i'm in manchester - it was a mission down.

hopefully someone will help you out though!

(it's not that hard to do yourself though by the way, there's loads of advice on here from everyone, that's how most people do it for the first time, and once you've done one install, the next is easier)

Thanks anyway mate.I know it's a long shot.

As I understand it my mate has trouble running the cable through a grommet.Couldn't get to it due to its position..?
Ideally I'd like someone who will sort it once & for all.Sometimes relying on a mate isn't always the best idea as I've found out.
I want peace of mind too knowing it would be done by someone with the proper knowledge.

Regards
Peter

By the way does anyone know how much this job is likely to cost me if I do end up taking to an ICE shop..?

Cheers
Peter

I think the grommit he is on about is the one in the passenger footwell, i also had trouble with mine, so in the end so i did not risk damaging the wiring loom i pulled the grommit out into the car, got filed out a small circle (circular file) on the side of this, put some rubber around the edge, bit of old bike tyre, ran the wire through this then replaced the original grommit, sealed the whole using black sealent just to prevent any unwanted drops of water,

i followed the brake lines from the engine to the back of the car then up above the fuel tank and through a gromet on the base of the boot floor. was very easy and saved trying to get the cable along the inside of the car.

I Pulled the gromit open from inside the passenger footwell, stuffed all 2 metres of wire into it which pushed the wire high enough to be able to grab it from the front

you live about 50 miles from me im in rochester, kent if you wanna drive down i can give you a hand. fitted more car audio systems than i can count

cant see the problem your mate is having the gromet on the bravo is massive

Thanks guys for your kind help so far.
I think I'll wait and see if someone locally can help as I don't feel confident trying it myself...had a lot of hassel with it so far that I'd like to get it sorted once and for all..

Thanks again
Peter.
