Technical Can anyone explain this pipe arrangement

Hi all

58 plate fiorino van 78000 on clock

Following photos are turbo connection
The connector is broken as shown
Can't find new connector
What is the connector called
Is it meant to connect loosely or could I just use hoseclip ???

Yep... I think that called a bodge! Its amazing how they seem to do this rather than engineering a part that doesnt need all those bits. It looks like you have a sort of quick release fitting. If you can manage to get a simple clip I cant see why not but you may ruin part if the quick release by doing this so be careful. It that one of those fittings you squeeze the outer ring to release? Best couse of action is probably a new hose from S4P or eBay.

I think I will see if a new hose will include the fitting in question.
Unfortunately replacement parts are often incomplete, having to use bits off the old part. That's why in my case I was hoping to find just the clip. What a waste.
