Well I am slowly (very slowly) working my way around my little Panda friend's holier than thou metalwork, and today I decided to start thinking about how I might tackle this inner sill, preferably without taking the whole of the outer sill off, as then outer sill is not too bad.
I have cut out the worst section of the inner sill (although there is more to do of course) and I noticed this internal extra strengthening piece (highlighted in blue on the attached.
I know that the floor, the inner sill and the outer sill are all supposed to meet in a 3 layer sandwich under the sill, but where does this strengthening piece (if indeed that is what it is) connect to, and how far forward in the sill does it go?
Thanks for taking the time to look.
