Hey.
Im still fairly new to this forum and its my first uno, its a 1996 (999cc) Uno Cento, i think its the FIRE:confused:
I put a simota induction kit on as well as a BSK Free-Flow exhaust, Ive been hearing so much about putting a new Camshaft in, What does the camshaft do and if i put a better one in will it make any difference with power or fuel consumption? What is the size of the camshaft? and how much do u reckon it will set me back?($$$):bang: and if i replace the camshaft will i have to replace anything else so that i dont mess up anything with my engine. I also want to put an exhaust back box on, will that make any difference?
Any advice greatly appreciated(y)

hello mate. a new cam shaft if its a motorsport one will alow u to run a higher amount of house power safely without damaging the crank. if its lightend and ballanced it will alow the engine to rev more freely without presure and will alow it to rev quicker. it can help fuel consumtion due to it taking less stress of the engine making it work easier. but sadly i have no idea how much it will cost they can very. a back box with full exhaust sytem will give u a power increase. hope this helps .

Don't get me wrong here,, but like you said,, it is your 1st Uno,,,

It is utterly senseless to fit a cam on a glorified 1000cc and still carry a weight of about 700kilos,, The Cento isn't the Fire,, The Fire is an 1100cc and but trust me on this one,, Every cc count's,, have you ever heard the sane of: There is NO SUBSTITUTE for CC's,,,, even if it is 1cc,,, that counts.

Ok,, what I'm trying to say is: Don't go and waste you money on a Uno Cento to make it faster. If you really have the money to play around with,,, rather the fit a 1300 Hyubusa motor in the Uno Body and TURBO that thing,, then you will have the oemf,, or thump to take on something big
