My best advice to you is, if you are not sure, and no receipt, get it changed ASAP. You could take the camcover off and inspect the belt. If its just recently been done, it will be "as new" condition, not shiney, and the part number on the belt will be clear. Coupe belts have a tendency to snap when not changed, so get it sorted pronto!! Oh one thing, if you have the belt done, have the tensioner and other pulley changed and the water pump. Thats the correct way to do the job.

Yup and getting it done 'cheap' will still be around £400, dont know anywhere in the north west, wish i did, and i asume you mean north west of England! You could try Fast Fiat at Stockton on Tees over by Middlesbrough just the opposite end of the A66.

Coupe friendly garages here http://www.fccuk.org/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=168875&page=1#Post168875

Post up on www.fccuk.org/forum and you'll get lots of suggestions (y)

It's not worth taking the risk with any belts on the coupe...breaks mean mega bucks worth of damage potentionally!! You need to change all of the belts (aux belts and cambelt), plus tensioners etc as it's often the other bits that go and take out the cambelt doing all the damage
There are 2 on the list i wouldn't use for sure. James Twist and Solo Italia.

Andy.

Whats he charge for that?

well he works at a fiat dealer
they seem to charge alot less that other fiat dealers do for it not sure as i have never asked
mabey you could give them a ring and ask
i believe it is around 55 an hour mabey 60 if fings have changed

well,i know with bmw the service history is computerised and you can get a run off of the service history from the dealer.did fiat change the band, and are the records computerised?

its a lot of trouble to go to if it has been changed so maybe do some detective work first!
