Hi all, I have a 1997 Barchetta which has been off the road for a few months at my dad's place in Aberdeenshire. To get it back on the road it needs a new MOT (fingers crossed there won't be any big issues there) but at the same time I'd like to change the cambelt and the variator.

Can anyone give me an idea of roughly how much the cambelt/variator work would cost and/or recommend a decent garage in Aberdeen city or shire?

Once that's sorted I'll turn my attention to the cracked bumper and dent in the bonnet from some idiot parker, but that's for another day...

Hi Mate, I seem to remember mine cost about £250ish at a Alfa specialist nearby in Maltby, can't imagine the price should differ too much up there in the back of beyond :)

Ive found an area of weakness is rot inside the offside rear inner wheel arch. Thats aside from dodgy rear calipers.
