Since the boss took her car (as previously reported) I took it for 30+ miles run. Mixture of low gear country lanes to A roads and finally motorway 80mph+ (indicated) drive.
Seems absolutely great, fluid, quiet, no flat spots, plenty of torque and power. Have not exceeded 4000rpm yet but see no reason to expect any dissapointment.
So what I'm trying to communicate is that perfect timing does not appear to be an issue with the 'B'. It is however absolutely necessary to make sure you can get as perfect as possible in all timing settings. A little out on one or another is not likely to cause you a problem.
CAUTIONARY NOTE! Setting drift / migration / slip IS and WILL BE a big issue if you are not 1000% sure of your datum integrity.
If in doubt then 100% strictly adhere to the full blown intircate timing procedures.
