General buying help please?

hey peeps! i decided to finally bite the bullet and go for the 20vt (switching from a bravo!) but before i did thought id ask for a bit of advice, i.e. what to look out for when buying, whats a reasonable price to pay etc? for instance i saw this 16v http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/WW...category=CARS&channel=CARS&id=200638250478955
and thought it may be too good to be true. am i right?

That price seems about right for a 16VT. However, it's not a 20VT, which is what you just said you wanted.

cheers! not that i know much on coupes (hope thatll change very soon!) but i think the 16v would be better suited to me so if anyone can offer any sources to buy from, advice etc i would be very gr8ful.

Hello, www.fccuk.org is the fiat coupe forum, I'd buy my coupe from there personally. I can't see any 16v's for sale in the for sale section, but if you posted in coupes wanted then perhaps you'll tempt someone who's selling up soon.

Just to echo Pinin and HMallett, get onto FCCUK, have a read of the buyers guide and then buy one from a forum member!

These are pretty rare cars and very complicated - most garages dont have a clue with them, which is why there are a small number of trusted specialists who get most of the forum's custom. If its been owned by a forum member, then its far more likely to have been looked after properly - personally I wouldnt touch one with a full Fiat service history!
