Styling Bumper Mesh

I'm looking for mesh for my new bumper. I want proper steel mesh, non of this silly aluminium stuff thats got no strength to it. Problem is i want black mesh and i can't find any black mesh anywhere that isn't aluminium. Anyone know of anyone/anywhere that sells such mesh?

No i don't want aluminium mesh, i can find loads of black aluminium mesh, thats not a problem. The problem is i want proper steel racing mesh as it looks far cooler and is really strong and won't dent/bend even if hit buy a relatively big stone.. Problem is i can't find black steel mesh and i don't wanna paint it cause it'll chip really badly and look crap, what i need is to find some powdercoated steel mesh and i can't find any.

The reason is, so I'm told, that it will be powder coated to the required colour.

1. Find your local metal stockist
2. Buy some mesh
3. cut it to size
4. Take it to a powder coater
5. Get it powder coated

(To be honest, I don't see that powder coating with be that much better than 2 pack)

isnt that chicken wire stuff from Wickes any good? they are like 5mm squares

It'll look tacky, nothing worse IMO than a car with crappy mesh in the bumper or grill, can make or break a project, with the stainless steel stuff you get a very professional finish.. I have decided i'm gonna buy some steel mesh and offer it up to see what it looks like and if i don't like it i'll be off to get it powdercoated.
